THE NATURAL WORLD - SWAMP THINGS - Florida's uninvited predators -p80
150,000 giant snakes are breeding in the Everglades with plans to slither to New York. They started out as pets, harmless hatchlings in a terrarium. "Do you really want a snake that may grow more than twenty feet long, weigh two hundred pounds, urinate and defecate like a horse, and live more than twenty-five years...?" Without saying so directly, the article suggests that someday the news will be that someone was swallowed.

The Vertical Tourist - How to climb a skyscraper, p68
I'm disappointed, I sped-read this to answer the headline question, how does one climb without a ladder? It doesn't say, except that, when all else fails, its possible for a strong person to use friction to wedge themselves in a 90° corner, but I can hardly believe it. And it doesn't explain, what happens if it starts to rain?

Annals of Adventure, ROUGHING IT - two young women in Hayden & Elkhead Colorado, 1916, p78
I haven't read this yet, but we've certainly stopped to use the toilet in Hayden, Colorado in our 1960's camping trips.
